OPENING CEREMONY
To mark the opening of the sauna we’re inviting everyone for a communal dip on Saturday 30 September at 16:00.
We’ll meet on the beach outside the sauna. Anthony White from Poet’s Corner will read out a poem and we’ll have a toast with a shot of Scandinavian Aquavit (water of life) before we go in the sea. The sauna will be on. For those who want to stay around for a drink afterwards, we’ll see you are the Rowing Club bar. Everyone’s invited, no need to be a member. If non-members wants to go to the bar they’ll just need to be signed in as a guest by a member.
The sauna will be open and follow normal opening hours from Sunday 1 October.
NEW OPENING HOURS
We’ve expanded the opening hours from last season, which can also be found on our opening times page:
- Monday - Friday 7:00-14:00
- Tuesday and Thursday 16:00-20:00
- Saturday - Sunday 8:00-14:00
- Bank holidays are treated as normal days of the week.
For those who are considering membership and those who just want to try the sauna, we hold open days once a month. Open Day is always the first Sunday of every month from 10:00-14:00. The dates for the 2023-24 season can be found on our opening times page.

JOIN THE COMMITTEE
The sauna is run by volunteers. If you’re interested in joining the committee and have a say in how it’s run, we’re keen to hear from you. We meet once a month. Get in touch.

We’ve had some flyers printed, which we’ll distribute around town. You can also find them in the Rowing Club bar. Feel free to pick some up and pass to your friends.
